Our guest: Tom Michalek
Tom Michalek graduated from the College of William and Mary in 1970 with a degree in History. He taught for 41 years in public schools, private schools, and a maximum-security prison. The main courses Tom taught were History, Russian, English as a Second Language, and Driver’s Education. Tom Michalek has Belarusian roots — his grandmother was born and raised in Belichi, not far from Slutsk.
Tom always wanted to teach and guesses it’s the desire to help others learn. Now Tom is retired from teaching in U.S., but has always wanted to teach in Belarus because he has so many relatives here.
